Candlemas!
Candlemas, formerly "Candles," is celebrated on February 2, 40 days after Christmas.
Its name comes from the word "candle". Originally, in Roman times, it was a celebration in honor of the god Pan .
At Candlemas we eat pancakes. Sugar pancakes, crepes with vanilla, chocolate crepes ... And above all we blew pancakes !
Here is a little recipe for sugar pancakes easy to make
Pastry for 8 crepes:
02 eggs, 125 grams of flour, 50g butter, 50g sugar, 30cl whole milk, 1 / 2 packet of baking powder.
Place flour, sugar and yeast in a bowl. Dig a pit, break the eggs there.
Mix with a whisk and pour the melted butter slowly.
Mix gradually prepared with hot milk.
Let dough rest at least 30 minutes.
These pancakes can be eaten warm on their own or together!
