February in China's Spring Festival, or New Year, is the first day of the Lunar New Year and marks the beginning of the traditional Chinese calendar. In 2011, it is celebrated on February 3 and will mark the beginning of the Rabbit. On this occasion, the Chinese have seven days off: one is the two Golden Weeks. The Lantern Festival marks the end of the festivities of Chinese New Year : February 17, 2011.
