L'exposition Monet, qui s'est achevée hier le lundi 24 janvier 2011 au Grand Palais à Paris, hosted a total of 913,064 visitors. A record in the last 40 years.


Started September 22, 2010, presented a retrospective of 170 paintings Claude Monet, from the Musée d'Orsay to fifty of them, and for the rest from foreign museums and private collections .

This is the highest attendance for an exhibition in France for over 40 years. Only the pharaoh Tutankhamun had done better in 1967 with 1.2 million visitors to an exhibition that had lasted six months and a half, Petit
palace.
