Quito - Quilotoa: just went to the lagoon bottomless

The next day the weather is to go. The sky is loaded. Quito's damage output is committed to the "Avenue of Volcanoes". A clear day you can see from the Pan American then or the Cotopaxi Pichincha. I agree fast enough Latacunga, despite the traffic and the road continues up Zumburahua. The scenery is incredible. Long stretches of rolling mingle through the mountainous desert plateau called the Paramo. Latacunga since I gained altitude. On reaching the village I'm almost at 4000m altitude. The lagoon is only 8km away. Everything is more desert. Many crops including potatoes, grown on plots at the same slope and cool colors and bring wealth to the countryside despite the weather. The air is cold and the fog has completely buried the surrounding plateaus before my arrival in Latacunga. An atmosphere of end of world. Arriving in the lagoon to see the fog prevents anything. It was not until early tomorrow morning to see the crystalline waters of the volcano Quilotoa. Locked in a hospedaje I meet Matilda who travels in one year alone, arriving in Cuba, and Peter 65 retired traveler at heart, a representative of a philosophy based on authenticity and simplicity in which the journey I am the first to join. He walks a lot and sleeps under the stars whenever he can. The night moved to 18:00. I eat with Peter off to bed around 20:00. I was not long before the join.
